Volcano S30 1/10 Scale vs T-Maxx Classic 1/10 Scale
In today's article were going to take a look at two 1/10 scale trucks. One from RedCat Racing the Volcano S30 and the other being the Traxxas T-Maxx Classic. These trucks are both capable of taking on any terrain an I believe they will wow just about anyone straight out of the box.
Volcano S30-
The Volcano S30 is a powerful truck with a nitro fueled 3.0cc engine this thing will shred up the track. I'm a huge RedCat fan and I believe all there rc vehicles are pretty reliable and durable at most. The Volcano S30 has a 2.5mm chassis, with the incredible four wheel independent suspension included with eight oil filled shocks capped off. With this being ready to run at the low cost of $250 it's the best bang for your buck but it does have it's down falls don't get me wrong. It has a single one speed transmission which can be tricky in certain situations. Overall I would say on a scale of 1-10 it's a 7 just for the durability and the price along with the bash resistant body.
T-Maxx Classic-
The T-Maxx Classic is a unique and just outstanding product. It's been the number one best seller for year's always being top dog is something Traxxas strives to do. With a 2.5cc motor it will give any truck a run for its money. The shocks well that system is different I would say simple it's four wheel independent suspension gives you two shocks maximizing stability and all of them are adjustable. The chassis is extremely well built being 3.2mm thick it's just strong for being so light weight. This ready to run rc truck is only $400 but it's worth it to the right rc enthusiast and for the quality of product it still stands top dog.
The Vs's
Okay let's get this off to a start while Traxxas is always the top dog RedCat comes close to steeling the spot light. I mean for the price difference it's incredible the product you can get. RedCat cuts there margines by $100's not just dollars. The Volcano is $150 cheaper than the T-Maxx Classic that's what I mean by price difference. Not only that the Volcano has the extra engine power the T-Maxx does not from 3.0cc to 2.5cc that is something that intrigues a lot of people. Yea one point the T-Maxx Classic has going is the ez start I mean it's simple and cuts corners and effort to start the car. But RedCat also has a electric starter kit yea you have to buy it separate but big deal it's worth it you would still save money in the long run. The transmitters are basically the same nothing special from either one. Now the Traxxas truck has a thicker frame making it more durable but the RedCat truck still comes close only .7mm off from the Traxxas truck. I mean unless your playing crash derby you should be fine either way you go. There both outstanding products in my personal opinion I would go with the RedCat Volcano S30 the price difference is what grabs my attention. These days in age everyone is looking to save money but still get the best products. There both two trucks that will shred up any terrain and any track with the ability to smash competition straight out of the box.
